Munkittrick Associates has just completed a one year phased renovation of the Yale Bookstore, operated by its client, Barnes & Noble/b&n college, in New Haven, Connecticut. Munkittrick Associates served as store planner and interior designer for the renovation that involved a coordinated planning initiative in conjunction with the construction of a new Apple store on a portion of the property formerly occupied by the Yale Bookstore.

The scope of the project included new storefront and branding signage, a newly renovated lobby entrance and customer service center, and a renovation of approximately half of the tri-level collegiate superstore. On the lower level, a new power drive aisle was created to unite an expanded book department. New, vibrant, Yale-themed graphics were also designed by Munkittrick Associates to complement the new insignia wear and emblematic gift departments.

Munkittrick Associates has provided expert retail store planning services to a variety of clients, including Barnes & Noble/b&n college, for whom it designs college bookstores nationwide.
